Participants learn to identify the purpose, audience, and central message of a design before applying essential principles such as hierarchy, contrast, alignment, spacing, consistency, and simplicity. Through live demonstration and guided practice, each learner creates a clear and usable social-media event announcement. Peer review and focused revision help participants recognise design weaknesses and make intentional improvements. The course emphasises that effective graphic design is not merely about using software tools, but about making thoughtful visual decisions that help audiences notice, understand, and respond.

Foundations of Communication is a 90-minute introductory course that explores communication as the sharing of meaning, relationship, and life in the service of communion. Beginning with everyday human interaction, it examines how God communicates through revelation and the Incarnation, and how the Church communicates through proclamation, liturgy, witness, service, and media. Participants are introduced to the principal forms and elements of communication and reflect on the qualities needed for credible pastoral communication. The course also considers the opportunities and ethical challenges of digital media and artificial intelligence. Through practical activities and personal reflection, participants are encouraged to become attentive listeners, responsible communicators, and compassionate witnesses in today’s interconnected world.
